Although there were plenty of diners in the foodcourt, there were not much customers at The Chicken Company so we decided to try it. I told my husband to reserve a table for us while I fell line to order our food.
While I was still in line, the lady crew took my orders and listed them in a sheet. Then she asked me to give the money to her so she will hand it over to the cashier.. At first, I was hesitant but when I saw that the person in front of me already gave her money as payment, I did so too..and so I handed my P1000 bill.
The line did not move towards the cashier because the food that we ordered were served almost simultaneously and the corresponding change was just handed over by the crew from the cashier to the customers. There were only three (3) customers in line and I was the third.
However, to my surprise, i was given the change for P500. I told the lady crew that I gave her P1000 bill but she insisted that I only gave P500. The people in line could not testify in my favor because they did not see the amount that I handed over. Then, the lady crew told the customer in front of me that our change might have been switched but the customer insisted that she also gave P1000 bill and that her change was correct.
When I counted the money remaining in my wallet, I was so sure that I really gave P1000. It was even vivid in my memory how I handed over the money to the lady crew.
But when I told the cashier about it, she also insisted she received only P500.. And so I did not argue anymore because I knew that nothing's gonna happen anyway..
I felt so bad at that time that I was not able to eat the food that we ordered. I just let my husband eat his food and then we went to KFC so I could eat some.
I'm never gonna dine at The Chicken Company ever again..
